The University of Minnesota Duluth soccer team will be on the road after two consecutive weekends at home. The Bulldogs will be kicking off against Wayne State and Augustana for their second to last road series in conference play.
The Bulldogs are coming into this road series after a hard-fought tie against #13 Minnesota State and a 2-1 loss from Concordia St. Paul. Their conference record stands at 3-4-3, which they look to improve with their matches this weekend.
Wayne State is currently sitting eleventh in the conference, which is directly below the Bulldogs who sit in tenth. Wayne State has a 2-5-3 record, their two most recent losses coming from NSIC Strengths Minot State and University of Mary.
Historically, the Bulldogs have done well against the Wildcats going 5-2-1, but in recent years the Wildcats have started to turn that record around. Their 2021 matchup with the Bulldogs ended in a 1-1 draw.
Augustana is currently the fifth-ranked team in the NSIC with a 6-3-1 conference record, their most recent win coming from a dominant 3-1 over University of Mary. The Bulldogs are 3-6-1 against the Vikings since 2013, their most recent matchup coming from 2021 where the Vikings beat the Bulldogs 2-0.
The Vikings sit second overall in the conference for goals with an average of two per game. They currently lead the conference in shots and points with 220 (an average of 16.92 shots per game with an average of 9.15 on goal.
Jackie Jares leads the Bulldogs with four goals, three assists, and eleven points on the season.

Lauren Singstock also has a notable three assists, her latest coming from their goal against #13 Minnesota State.
As the postseason approaches, the Bulldogs will look to improve their record and move up within the conference ranks. Kickoff against Wayne State on Friday afternoon will be at 3:00pm in Wayne Nebraska. Sunday's game is set for 1:00pm in Sioux Falls.
