THE MATCHUP No. 19 Minnesota Duluth will take the road to Colorado Springs to play their first conference series against Colorado College. The puck will drop Friday Nov. 4 at 8:30 p.m. Against the Tigers, UMD leads the all-time series 28-12-6. In Colorado Springs, the Bulldogs have gone 14-7-3. Though UMD has had success on the road against CC, UMD has gone 0-2 on the road in this season. The teams last played in Duluth, where the contest resulted in a tie 0-0.

PERFECT ON THE PENALTY KILL In the series against Cornell, UMD took three penalties Friday, six Saturday, and went a perfect 9-9 on the penalty kill. With 18 total power play minutes, Cornell could only get 12 shots on goal.
DYNAMIC DEFENSE After the series against the Big Red, defenseman
Wyatt Kaiser was named the NCHC Defenseman of the Week. Kaiser notched three points on the weekend off two goals and one assist. Kaiser's goal on Friday was his first of the season and his first at AMSOIL arena. Defenseman
Derek Daschke tallied his second game winning goal of the season on Friday, ranking him third in the nation. In eight games, Daschke has made 11 blocks and 16 shots on goal. Freshman defenseman
Aiden Dubinsky leads UMD with 12 blocks, in addition to recording three assists and a +5 rating.
STEJSKAL SPOTLIGHT Zach Stejskal has seen action in six of the eight games played. In the last series, Stejskal made a total of 64 saves, while only allowing four. On the weekend, Stejskal had a save percentage of .896.
TIGERS GOALTENDING The Tiger to see the most action this season is senior Matt Vernon. Vernon has started in five games. In his games played, he has allowed 16 goals, five of which were power play goals, and one short-handed. He has made a total of 126 saves for a percentage of 88.7.
SCOUTING THE TIGERS In the 2022-23, Colorado College has gone 3-5-0. The Tigers started their season off with a home sweep of Alaska Anchorage, after a win Friday 6-2, followed by a 4-1 win. CC then went on a four-game losing streak, where they were swept by St. Lawrence and Arizona State. The Tigers broke their streak with a 8-0 win against Air Force last Friday, but dropped game two 6-3. They have recorded 27 goals and 29 goals against. Faceoff wins have gone in the Tigers favor as they have a percentage of 52.9. Leading CC in points is Noah Laba and Bryan Yoon with eight each. Laba has tallied four goals and four assists, and Yoon has recorded eight assists. Hunter Mckown leads the team with five goals and 27 shots on goal.
