Duluth, Minn. - The University of Minnesota Duluth men's hockey team has released their 2022-23 schedule, the team announced on Wednesday afternoon.
UMD will open their 2022-23 conference slate with the program's first ever trip to Ed Robson Arena on November 4-5 for a pair of games with the Colorado College Tigers. UMD will then host Nebraska-Omaha in their NCHC home opener on November 11-12 in Duluth, Minn. With Omaha not traveling to Duluth during both the 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons, it'll be the two team's first matchup at AMSOIL Arena since February 8, 2020. Additionally, though UMD will head to Grand Forks, ND, the North Dakota Fighting Hawks are not scheduled to face the Bulldogs in Duluth during the 2022-23 campaign.Â
Minnesota Duluth's non-conference schedule will feature the Bulldogs first ever meeting with the Arizona State Sun Devils on October 1-2 in Duluth. During the 2021-22 season, ASU played games against UMD's NCHC rivals in Colorado College and Denver. The Bulldogs will also meet the University of Wisconsin for the first time since Oct. 19, 2019 in Madison, WI. During the meeting back in 2019, the Badgers used 6-2 and 3-1 victories to sweep the Bulldogs at the Kohl Center. Additionally, UMD and Cornell with faceoff for the first time since December 28, 2005.Â
