Former Minnesota Duluth men's hockey player Ronald Pretlac passed away last month at the age of 85.
Pretlac, a native of Fort William, ON, competed for the Bulldogs from 1956 to 1960. As a senior during the 1959-60 campaign, Pretlac served as team captain. During his time in Duluth, Pretlac tallied 27 goals and 42 assists for 69 career points, while also noting 77 penalties for 166 career penalty minutes. Pretlac graduated from UMD with his Bachelor's Degree in 1960. Following his career with the Bulldogs, Pretlac went on to play for both the Fox Valley Astros and Green Bay Bobcats of the United States Hockey League Sr. Division.
