SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Due to weekend thunderstorms in Sioux Falls, S.D., the University of Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs softball team has moved their NSIC series with No. 12 Augustana from Saturday, April 30 to Sunday, May 1. Game times are still set for 12:00 & 2:00 PM CT in Sioux Falls. Additionally, UMD and Wayne State College will now play on Monday, May 2 at 12 & 2 PM CT in Wayne, Neb.
The Bulldogs will enter their series against the Vikings with a 35-12 overall record on the season. Within the NSIC, UMD holds an impressive 20-6 mark, which is good enough for fourth best in the conference. Eariler this week, Minnesota Duluth received the No. 10 spot in the NCAA's most recent Central Region Rankings. If the Bulldogs could find a way to sneak into the No. 8 slot, they would qualify for the NCAA DII National Tournament.
Minnesota Duluth will then play the Wayne State College Wildcats in an NSIC double header on Monday, May 2 in Wayne, Neb. First pitches from Wayne are set for 12:00 & 2:00 PM CT. Live stats for the series can be found
