COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Former Minnesota Duluth Bulldog and current member of the National Hockey League's Seattle Kraken Karson Kuhlman has been named to the 2022 U.S. Men's World Championship roster, the association announced on Thursday afternoon.
A native of Esko, Minn., Kuhlman competed for the Bulldogs from 2014-18, while serving as team captain during his senior season in 2017-18. Additionally, Kuhlman served as an assistant captain during both his sophomore and juniors seasons. In 166 games with the Bulldogs, Kuhlman tallied 39 goals and 41 assists for 80 career points. As a senior in 2018, Kuhlman captained the Bulldogs to an NCAA National Championship.
Following his career in Duluth, Kuhlman has suited up in 100 National Hockey League games split between the Boston Bruins and Seattle Kraken. During his time in the NHL, Kuhlman has notched nine goals and 14 assists for 23 career points. Kuhlman signed with the Boston Bruins as a free agent on April 18, 2018.
Kuhlman suited up for Team USA and won gold at the 2013-14 World Junior A Challenge. Additionally, Kuhlman competed with Team USA at the 2012 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament.
