Duluth, Minn. - The 2021 NSIC Champion Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs' football team has named Loren Endsley as the club's next Assistant Coach. Endsley will oversee the Bulldogs' run game as well as their offensive line.
"I'm extremely excited to work at Duluth because of the amazing people and established culture of the program," said Endsley. Endsley comes to Duluth after one year as the Offensive Intern at Ohio University in Athens, OH. Before his stop in Ohio, Endsley held a one-year stint as the Offensive Intern at the University of South Dakota. Endsley brings more than seven years of coaching experience to UMD.
"We are excited to welcome Loren, Cassie and their boys to Bulldog Country," said Head Coach Curt Wiese. "We knew this was going to be an important hire for our staff. Making sure our student-athletes have the chance to be mentored by a good person and a knowledgeable coach was going to be important. Loren will join our staff as the run game coordinator and offensive line coach this June. Our staff, student-athletes and department will be excited to work with him in the near future."
Endsley will have the opportunity to work with an offense that averaged an impressive 32.58 points per game during the 2021 season. Additionally, Endsley will oversee a talented run game, which averaged 176 yards per game last season. Endsley joins Alec Ramirez, Thomas Kelly and Jordan Edwards as UMD football's new off-season hires.
The Bulldogs will open the 2022 campaign on Thursday, Sept. 1 against Southwest Minnesota State University.
