The University of Minnesota Duluth soccer team is finally at home after a pair of tough road games. They will host 2021 NSIC regular season champions Bemidji State on Friday Sept. 30 before closing out the weekend on Sunday for a matchup against Minnesota Crookston.

Coming off a 2-0 loss against Southwest Minnesota State, the Bulldogs are ready to kick it into high gear for their game against Bemidji State. The Beavers are currently 4-2-3 overall and 3-1-2 in conference. Bemidji is coming off a 1-0 win at Augustana and a 1-1 tie against Wayne State. Bemidji State has posted four shutouts on the year, posing as an obstacle for the Bulldogs offense. 

 UMD is 16-8-4 against Bemidji State, but the matchup has gotten closer in recent years. In the last meeting between the two teams in 2021, it was the Beavers who came away with the 1-0 victory.

The Bulldogs will have another chance to improve their record on Sunday when the Bulldogs take on the Golden Eagles. The Golden Eagles are currently sitting in last place in the NSIC. The Bulldogs had their season high number of goals in their 2021 matchup with four. All four goals -- scored by Victoria Thorson, Mandy Conkel, Lauren Hansen, and Rachel Boelke -- were first career goals in the 2021 season. 

This season, Jackie Jares leads the team with three goals and seven points and Anna Tobias is a close second with two goals and five points. The Bulldogs will look to increase these numbers this weekend. 

Kickoff against the Beavers will be at 6:00 PM on Friday Sept. 30 at James S. Malosky Stadium
