The Season So Far
Â
Following their win over the Winona State University Warriors last week, the Bulldogs currently sit at seventh in the NSIC with an overall record of 15-7 and a conference record of 8-6. Senior outside hitter Cianna Selbitschka became the 23rd player in UMD program history to reach 1,000 career kills, leading the match over WSU with 16 kills. Senior libero Kaylyn Madison inches closer to a milestone 1,000 career digs, currently sitting at 980 before this weekend's matches. With their current seventh place seeding, UMD remains in contention for the NSIC Championship tournament but will look to climb the standings in order to avoid opening round matchups with the likes of #1 Wayne State and #4 Concordia St. Paul.

Scouting Report - Southwest Minnesota State University
Â
UMD will take on SMSU for their Faculty/Staff Appreciation Night to kick off the weekend. The Bulldogs are 68-21 against the Mustangs in program history, with their previous matchup ending in a tough 1-3 loss earlier in the season.
Â
SMSU sits at a comfortable third place in the NSIC, with an overall record of 21-3 and a conference record of 12-2. They extended their win streak to seven last weekend with a 3-0 win over MSU Moorhead, but will visit #1 Wayne State before their match in Romano.
Â
Scouting Report - University of Sioux Falls (S.D.)
Â
UMD will celebrate their Senior Day with a matchup against USF, ending their final homestand of the season. The Bulldogs remain at a 17-2 record against the Cougars, with their previous matchup earlier this season resulting in a 3-0 sweeping win.
Â
USF sits just outside conference championship contention, slotting in at ninth in the NSIC with an overall record of 11-12 and a conference record of 7-7. Their recent 3-0 win over Minot State puts them on a two win streak, providing momentum that they will look to continue into their matchup against Augustana before heading to Romano.
