The Season So Far

After a split weekend at home against Southwest Minnesota State and the University of Sioux Falls, the Bulldogs remain at seventh place in the NSIC standings with an overall record of 16-8 and a conference record of 9-7. Senior libero Kaylyn Madison passed the 1,000 career digs mark in her performance against SMSU, leading the match with 35 total digs throughout all five sets. Senior middle blocker Grace Daak recorded 6 total blocks in her performance against SMSU, eclipsing 300 career blocks.

Scouting Report - Minnesota State University Moorhead

UMD will head to Moorhead to start off their final weekend of conference play versus the Dragons. The Bulldogs are 67-13 against the Dragons after sweeping them earlier on this season.

MSUM currently sits outside of NSIC playoff contention, slotting in at 13th in the current conference standings. The Dragons will go into this weekend with an overall record of 7-18 and a conference record of 3-13, and look to snap their six game losing streak after being swept by Concordia St. Paul on Saturday.

Scouting Report - Northern State University

UMD will end the weekend and the regular season in South Dakota with a matchup against Northern State. The Bulldogs are 54-7 against the Wolves following a five set marathon loss at the beginning of this season.

NSU sits at just one game ahead of the Bulldogs in the NSIC standings, slotting in at sixth place with an overall record of 17-8 and a conference record of 9-7. The Wolves head into the weekend on a two game losing streak, but will face MSU Mankato at home before their matchup with UMD.

The NSIC playoffs will kick off next week with the top eight remaining teams in the conference. The quaterfinal rounds will be held on Nov. 14, hosted by the highest seed in each matchup.
