The No.12 ranked University of Minnesota Duluth men's basketball team heads out on the road to take on the University of Sioux Falls Cougars and the Southwest Minnesota State University Mustangs in the team's second weekend of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) play.

THE SEASON SO FAR
The Bulldogs finished off their first homestand weekend at Romano to launch their conference schedule with a pair of wins over the Wayne State College (NE) Wildcats and the Augustana University Vikings. UMD currently ranks first overall in the conference for field goal percentage and top three in the conference for assist/turnover ratio, blocks per game, scoring margin, three point percentage defense, and win percentage. The team moved to No.12 in the most recent NABC national rankings, just a few spots behind fellow NSIC teams No.5 MSU Moorhead and No.6 MSU Mankato.
SCOUTING REPORT
The University of Sioux Falls Cougars are now 3-5 overall with a 1-2 conference record, following their losses against MSU Mankato and Winona State last weekend. The Bulldogs are 5-5 against the Cougars since the 2013-14 season, defeating them in their most recent matchup last season 68-53. The Southwest Minnesota State Mustangs are 4-3 overall with a 1-2 conference record this season with their most recent loss the MSU Mankato. The Bulldogs are 2-8 against the Mustangs since 2014, most recently losing to them in a close 63-69 matchup.
LOOKING AHEAD
Men's basketball will make a quick stop in the twin cities to take on the Concordia St. Paul Golden Bears next week before returning home to Romano Gymnasium to host the Winona State University Warriors. Action against the golden bears will tip off on Thursday, Dec. 14, at 5:30 PM.
