The University of Minnesota Duluth Baseball team has announced another recruit for the 2024 season with Tanner Albeck. This brings the 2025 singing class up to six for Head Coach Bob Rients and the Bulldogs.
Albeck, an infielder, and native of Maple Grove Minn. joins the Bulldog signing class after an impressive career with The Maple Grove high school baseball team. A captain and three year starter for the Crimson, Albeck has been a crucial piece of their recent success. In 2022 he led his team to a fourth place finish at the Minnesota State High School Baseball tournament. He notched all-conference and all-section accolades as well as posted the most stolen bases in 4A baseball in Minnesota.
The 6'0, 200-pound infielder will look to lead the Crimson into another successful season before joining the Bulldogs in 2024. Albeck is the third signee for the 2024 class coming from Maple Grove High School. He will join his fellow teammates Sam Kliber and Hunter Gerber from Maple Grove at UMD in 2024.
