The University of Minnesota Duluth baseball team fell 4-5 to Grand Valley State on Tuesday afternoon in Auburndale, FL. This puts the Bulldogs at a record of 3-3.

The ball game started out in favor of Grand Valley, who scored three runs in the bottom of the first. The Bulldogs attempted to move the game back in their favor but would come up short until the top of the sixth inning. 

Gabe Richardson knocked a single up the middle of the field to start the Bulldogs off. Austin Gordon notched another single to put a runner on first and second. Tosten Mann would be the Bulldog to finally get the Bulldogs on the board, which scored both Gordon and Richardson bringing the score to 2-4. 

Grand Valley was able to notch another run in the bottom of the eighth extending their lead to three runs as they headed into the ninth inning. The Bulldogs started a rally thanks to a Jack Puder single and grounder from Michael Gabbard. Ethan Cole would send a single into right field, bringing the score within one, but it wasn't enough as the Bulldogs stranded a baserunner and fell 4-5.
