Jack Puder kick-started the inning for the Bulldogs with a single up the middle and a stolen base. Alex Wattermann followed with a single of his own, scoring Puder and notching an RBI. The Golden Bears were able to turn a double play, but Gabbard notched another single to give the Bulldogs another baserunner.
