LINSER NAMED NSCA 2023 ALL-AMERICAN ATHLETE

The National Strength and Conditioning Association has announced University of Minnesota Duluth fifth-year senior Anneke Linser as a 2023 All-American Athlete Strength and Conditioning Athlete of the Year Award recipient. This award recognizes athletic accomplishments and dedication to strength and conditioning.

Nominated by Bulldog strength and conditioning coach Jeremy Golden, Linser's determination to improve in athletics while maintaining academic prominence is a great model for all student-athletes at UMD.

"Anneke is what you want to see out of an athlete," said Golden. "She understands the value of taking care of her body and uses the weight room to not only gain strength, speed and explosiveness, but also as a recovery tool to be at her best every single day.  She is character driven and gives her all in every session."

A four-time Western Collegiate Hockey Association Scholar Athlete and two-time American Hockey Coaches Association 2020-21 Division I Krampade All-American Scholar, Linser turned in the most offensive season of her collegiate career this past year, recording 30 points on 17 goals and 13 assists. The Lino Lakes, Minn. native led UMD with five game-winning goals and was +18 overall.
