UMD Bulldogs "ALLETE" Moments: Competition
Throughout this year, UMD Athletics is partnering with Minnesota Power, ALLETE to highlight the Bulldogs accomplishments in the 3 C's: Classroom, Competition, Community.

Fifth-year captain, Tanner Laderoute, has been named as a 2023 All-American Strength and Conditioning Athlete of the Year recipient, as announced by The National Strength and Conditioning Association on Thursday. This award recognizes athletic accomplishments and the athlete's dedication to strength and conditioning.

Laderoute was nominated by UMD strength and conditioning coach Jeremy Golden for his leadership in the weight room. "His work ethic is unmatched by anyone on the team," said Golden. "He sets the tone and creates the culture of success the team has established in the weight room.

The captain has shown to be a great leader in all aspects of the game. "Tanner exemplifies what we look for in our student athletes," said associate head coach Adam Krause. "When it comes to work ethic, he sets the standard for our hockey program, in the weight room and on the ice."
