UMD Bulldogs "ALLETE" Moments: Competition
Throughout this year, UMD Athletics is partnering with Minnesota Power, ALLETE to highlight the Bulldogs accomplishments in the 3 C's: Classroom, Competition, Community.Â
University of Minnesota Duluth men's hockey captain,
Tanner Laderoute, was named a member of the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America Third Team, as announced on Monday.Â
The fifth year completed his undergraduate degree in Finance with a 3.96 GPA and went on to finish his Masters of Business Administration with a 3.94 GPA during his fifth year. Laderoute was named to the CSC Academic All-District team back in May.Â
Throughout his five years at UMD, Laderoute has proven to be a leader on the ice and a powerhouse in the classroom. He was a five-time NCHC Distinguished Scholar Athlete, graduated Summa Cum Laude and Degree Honors with Distinction, and is a four-time American Hockey Coaches Association All-American. Laderoute was honored on the Labovitz School of Business and Economics Dean's list all eight semesters and awarded as the MBA outstanding student. On top of all that, he was the recipient of the 2023 Circle of Academic Excellence in the MBA program and the E.L. "Duce" Rasmussen Male Scholar Athlete of the Year.Â
