The No. 9 ranked University of Minnesota Duluth men's basketball team booked their ticket for the NCAA central region tournament tonight, making this their third NCAA tournament berth in a row.

The Bulldogs officially confirmed their chance to dance in tonight's NCAA Division II selection show, announcing that they will be heading to Mankato, Minn. for their opening round matchup of the tournament on Saturday at 12:00 PM.

UMD will face a Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) opponent in the Fort Hays State Tigers who posted a 23-7 overall record and a 17-5 conference record this season, falling in the semifinal round of their conference tournament to the Pittsburg State Gorillas. Winner of Bulldogs vs. Tigers will move on to the semifinal rebound where they will face the winner of the second seeded Northwest Missouri State Bearcats and the seventh seeded Southwest Minnesota State Mustangs.

The Bulldogs are set to tip off against the Tigers on Saturday, Mar. 16, at 12:00 PM.
