Five home games and a key early October confrontation with last season's conference champion Augustana University highlights the University of Minnesota Duluth's 2024 football schedule, which was officially released Monday.

The Bulldogs will launch their 91st season of intercollegiate competition on the road with a return visit to Northern Michigan University on Thursday, August 29 in Marquette, Mich. From there, UMD rolls into its conference schedule and its home opener will double as UMD's annual Military Appreciation Day on Saturday, Sept. 14 against Minnesota State University, Moorhead. The Bulldogs then travel to Bismarck, N.D. to face the University of Mary (Sept. 21) before returning for Homecoming to host Southwest Minnesota State University on Sept. 28.

October begins for UMD with a trip to Sioux Falls to visit the Vikings (Oct. 5), and the ensuing Saturday, the Bulldogs return to James S. Malosky Stadium to host Northern State University (Oct. 12). The following Saturday, UMD will return to Sioux Falls to face the University of Sioux Falls on Oct.19 before returning to Duluth to host Minot State University (Oct. 26). The Bulldogs will have back-to-back road clashes at Winona State University (Nov. 2) and Concordia University, St. Paul (Nov. 9) in the final three weeks of the season before the 2024 regular season concludes on Nov. 16 in a massive NSIC showdown against Minnesota State University, Mankato that will double as Senior Day for the Bulldogs. 


The Bulldogs went 9-2 and 8-2 in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference in 2023 and finished ranked 25th in D2 Football's final top-25 national poll.
