UMD Bulldogs "ALLETE" Moments: Competition

Throughout this year, UMD Athletics is partnering with Minnesota Power, ALLETE to highlight the Bulldogs accomplishments in the 3 C's: Classroom, Competition, Community.

The University of Minnesota Duluth third baseman Gabe Richardson earns an All Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) second team nomination for his performance throughout the 2024 season.

This is the first All-NSIC nomination for the sophomore infielder since joining the Bulldog program in 2023 from Eau Claire, WI.

Richardson had a productive 2024 season for UMD, sitting at first on the team and eighth in the NSIC for total hits (68), while also leading the team and slotting in at ninth in the NSIC for batting average (.384). He also led the Bulldogs from the plate with the most doubles (13) and the highest on-base percentage (.453), all while starting in 47 and appearing in 48 of the team's 49 games.
