WEEKEND PREVIEW:

vs. Winona State: UMD is 12-20-4 all-time against the Warriors and just 1-8-1 in their past 10 games. The Bulldogs are winless in their last seven games against WSU, and have not defeated the Warriors since the 2016 season (a 2-0 win in Duluth).

Last season UMD lost to WSU 1-0 in a goal scored in the 64th minute on Nov. 3, 2024 inside Malosky Stadium.

Currently, the Warriors own a 5-4-3 record overall and are 4-4-2 in NSIC play. WSU is one of three teams – including UMD – that is tied for eighth place overall in the NSIC. Kyleight Jannisch has five goals for the Warriors and leads the team with 10 points.

vs. Concordia St. Paul: The Bulldogs are 17-5-3 against the Golden Bears all-time but just 2-5-3 over the past 10 games. UMD is winless in its past three games with CSP and looking for its first triumph since it defeated the Golden Bears back on Oct. 15, 2021 in St. Paul by a score of 2-1.

Last season, CSP shutout the Bulldogs 4-0 in Duluth on Oct. 6, 2024. The Golden Bears scored one goal in the opening half before reeling off three in the second.

CSP is 8-2-3 overall and 5-2-3 in the NSIC, where they are tied for fifth place. Sophia Haase leads the Golden Bears with 15 points on seven goals and one assist.

LAST TIME OUT: The Bulldogs swept last weekend in a home game against Minnesota State University, Moorhead with a 4-1 win at home before picking up a 1-0 triumph on the road against the University of Minnesota Crookston Saturday.

Senior Miriam Marsan scored the first hat trick of her career to lead UMD past the Dragons Friday, while senior Eliana Shromoff's sixth goal of the season led the Bulldogs past the Golden Eagles Sunday.

STATISTICALLY SPEAKING: Senior Elaina Shromoff leads UMD with six goals this season. Shromoff is the first UMD player since Jackie Jares posted eight goals in 2023 to score six or more goals in a season, and just the third player since 2018 to reach the mark.
