Bulldogs Conclude 2025 Season with 2-0 Loss at Bemidji State

The University of Minnesota Duluth soccer team saw its 2025 season come to a close Thursday night with a 2-0 loss against Bemidji State University inside of Chet Anderson Stadium in Bemidji, Minn. The loss ends the season for the Bulldogs, who finish 6-8-4 overall and 5-7-3 in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.

The Beavers scored their two goals less than three minutes apart midway through the first half. The first came off an uncleared corner kick at the 19:54 mark, and the second minutes later from a misplayed ball played on the ground into the box that Kenzie Harer finished at 22:28.

BSU outshot UMD 8-6 in the contest, and Kaycee Chavez finished her Bulldog career with six saves. Senior midfield Miriam Marsan and sophomore defender Savannah Gieske each led UMD with two shots on goal.

Bemidji State, who finished 2-0 against the Bulldogs this season, clinched the No. 2 seed in the NSIC postseason with the win.
