On Friday, the University of Minnesota Duluth indoor track and field teams will once again head down to Mankato, Minn. to compete at Minnesota State University, Mankato's Ted Nelson Classic.
The meet will feature several Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference opponents, including the Augustana University, the University of Sioux Falls, Southwest Minnesota State University, and of course, the host MSU.
"With four competitive opportunities under our belts already, the Bulldogs are ready to continue building momentum as we enter the thick of our indoor season," said head coach Brette Jensen. "We've positioned ourselves well throughout individual event conference standings, and will look to continue this effort this weekend. We're in an exciting spot in both training and competition where our athletes are continuing to gain confidence each week heading into championship season!"
The annual Ted Nelson Classic will begin with the men's weight throw at 2:00 p.m. The women's 3000m run will kick off the afternoon's running events at 2:30 p.m.
