UMD Baseball Faces Augustana for Back To Back Doubleheaders in Sioux Falls

The University of Minnesota Duluth baseball team will now be playing their originally scheduled home opener on the road this weekend, taking on the Augustana University Vikings in Sioux Falls, SD., starting on Thursday, Mar. 27, at 2:00 PM.

Last Time Out

The Bulldogs returned to Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) play last weekend on the road against the Minnesota State University Mankato Mavericks, collecting a 1-3 record over the four game series.

The Bulldogs got out to a slow start, struggling to put together an offensive response against the Mavericks and getting shut out over the first two games of the series. UMD showed some signs of life from the plate in game three, collecting five runs over the second and third inning but still falling to MSU 5-15. The Bulldogs jumped to life in game four, cashing in on three home runs from Garrett Stauffacher, Gabe Richardson, and Nathan Rosenberg on their way to a 13-6 victory and handing MSU their second loss of the spring.
