It took 11-innings for the University of Sioux Falls to get past the University of Minnesota Duluth baseball team 6-5 in Sioux Falls, S.D. at the Sioux Falls Stadium Sunday.

The Bulldogs took an early lead in the first inning with Troy Lynch's RBI single to right center to bring home Sam Kliber.

Sioux Falls leveled the game in the second inning when throwing error on a pick-off attempt allowed a runner to reach second, followed by an RBI single that tied the game at 1-1 through two innings.

In the third, the Cougars added two more runs -- RBI double and a sacrifice fly extended its lead to 3-1. UMD responded in the fourth inning with a two-run single by Kliber, scoring Hayden Anthony and Henry Bushey to tie the game at 3-3.

The Bulldogs regained the lead in the sixth inning when Nikhil Kandi doubled to right center, driving in Bushey to make it 4-3.

In the eighth, UMD extended its advantage when a pinch runner, Thomas Hanson, scored on Michael Gabbard's single to stretch UMD's lead to 5-3.
