The University of Minnesota Duluth women's hockey team officially released its entire 2026-27 schedule Wednesday for what will be the 28th season in program history.
Â
The Bulldogs will play their first game of the season five days later than they did in 2025-26, with a nonconference series at AMSOIL Arena in Duluth, Minn. on Sept. 25-26 against Mercyhurst University. UMD will continue its nonference schedule in Burlington, Vermont for a first-time road series against the Catamounts in program history on October 2-3 before opening up Western Collegiate Hockey Association play in Duluth on Oct. 9-10 against the University of St. Thomas.
Â
UMD – which will once again host the 2027 NCAA Frozen Four at AMSOIL in March – will face a total of four 2026 NCAA Tournament foes next season, including in four series at home. The Bulldogs host the University of Minnesota on Oct. 30-31, Quinnipiac University on Jan. 2-3 to open up the new year, Ohio State University on Jan. 8-9 and wrap up the final regular season series on Feb. 12-13 against defending NCAA Champion the University of Wisconsin.
Â
AMSOIL will host the fifth NCAA Frozen Four in NCAA women's hockey history in Duluth on March 19 and 21. It will mark the third NCAA Frozen Four at AMSOIL Arena – the DECC hosted the first two in 2003 and 2008 (both won by the Bulldogs), while AMSOIL hosted in 2012 and 2023 previously.
Â
The Bulldogs went 20-15-3 overall last season and made their sixth-straight NCAA Tournament.
