Caitlin Kraemer Invited to Edmonton Oilers Development Camp

While the University of Minnesota Duluth men's hockey team will have its share of Bulldogs showing up at NHL Development Camps this week, it was the UMD women's hockey soon to be junior Caitlin Kraemer who was invited to the Edmonton Oilers Development Camp that got underway Tuesday.

Kraemer, who hails from Waterloo, Ontario, joined Abbey Murphy and Chloe Primerano as the first women players to be invited to an NHL development camp.

The trio are on the ice at Rogers Place in Edmonton at camp from Tuesday through Thursday. Kraemer led the Bulldogs with 30 points this season on 15 goals and 15 assists. With seven multiple point games last season, Kraemer also had four game-winning goals, two shorthanded goals and two power play goals. Kraemer was named to the 2025-26 All-WCHA Third Team for her efforts. In all, Kraemer has compiled 61 points on 33 goals and 28 assists over 75 games as a Bulldog in two seasons.

A 2028 PWHL Draft prospect, Kraemer set a Canadian record for goals in a single tournament (10) with Canada's U-18 Team, doing so twice in 2023 and 2024, and placing her third all-time in career goals at the event with 20.
