Three current University of Minnesota Duluth women's hockey players, along with three alums, have made their respective national team rosters and will compete in the upcoming leg of the Women's Euro Tour that will get underway in Kloten, Switzerland on August 19.

Ida Karlsson will compete for Team Sweden, while incoming freshman duo forwardÂ

Tuuli Tallinen will suit up for Team Finland. Karlsson will be joined by recent PWHL draftee
Thea Johansson, who rejoins her Bulldog and Olympic teammate on Sweden and will suit up under UMD great and current Swedish coach, Erika Holst. Two former Bulldog standouts and Olympians will also represent their national teams -- former All-American Lara Stalder with Switzerland, and All-WCHA selection Katerina Mrázová with Czechia.Â
The six join a bevy of Bulldogs pulling national team duty this month -- current member of PWHL Detroit Nina Jobst-Smith is at German National Team camp, while four current Bulldogs will face each other in a three-game series between Canada and the U.S. over the next three days. Caitlin Kraemer will suit up for the Canadian Development Team against current sophomore forward
Rae Mayer, who will hit the ice against the pair with the U.S. Collegiate Women's Select Team, while incoming freshman Renee Lapointe will play for Canada's U-18 squad in a seperate three-game series.
The Bulldogs will open the 2026-27 season at home against Mercyhurst College on Sept. 25 at AMSOIL Arena at 6:00 p.m
