The University of Minnesota Duluth Women's Soccer team got plenty of chances Friday against the Mary Marauders, but the Bulldogs failed to find the back of the next, and Mary took a 1-0 victory over them. The Marauders improve to 4-2-2 on the season, while the Bulldogs fall to 4-2-2.

Lillian Schatz scored the lone goal of the game for Mary at the 23rd minute mark of the match. Despite the low score, both teams had their fair amount of chances, with the Marauders and Bulldogs both putting six shots on target, and 12 total. Nora Helvig led the way in shots for UMD with all three of her shots on goal. Savannah Gieseke and Alyssa Doyle also recorded three shots.

The Bulldogs best chance to knot the game came in the 80th minute, where Alyssa Doyle's low shot would need a Kadyn Dilger goal-line save to keep the Marauders lead. The Bulldogs had five corner kicks to the Marauders four, but none could find the back of the net for UMD.

Edy Halverson had five saves on six shots on goal for UMD, while Kadyn Dilger would save all six in a shutout performance.

UMD (4-2-2, 3-1-1) will travel to Minot State for the game Sunday. Kickoff is set for 1:00pm.
