2015 (Junior) Started on the bump six times in seven appearances while also getting in the starting line-up in 22 games · tossed six shutout innings in back-to-back games against Southwest Minnesota State on Apr. 8 and Minnesota-Crookston on Apr. 15 · struck out a season-high 10 Mustangs, allowing just three hits in that Apr. 8 outing · lifted a season-high three hits, including a home run, while driving in three and crossing the plate twice on Apr. 17 against Bemidji State · selected to NSIC All-Academic Team.

2014 (Sophomore) Took to the mound seven times including two starts for the Bulldogs · shut down Sioux Falls over 1.1 shutout innings on Apr. 19 as UMD collected a 7-4 win · struck out four in his season debut against Ohio Dominican · selected to NSIC All-Academic Team.

BEFORE UMD A 2012 graduate of Park High School · started two seasons for coach Kerry Ligtenberg and the Wolfpack · received an All-Conference selection his junior year · also played three seasons of varsity hockey as a defenseman · received All-Conference honorable mention his sophomore, junior, and senior campaigns.
 
PERSONAL Born Spencer W. Diedrich in Fort Wayne, Indiana on Oct. 17, 1993 · son of Mark and Julie Diedrich · has one younger brother, Clay · majoring in financial markets & accounting at UMD.
