2014: Appeared in 10 games including four starts for UMD ... picked up his first victory of the season with 2.0 shutout innings of Concordia-St. Paul on Apr. 2 ... tossed just 1.0 inning but struck out two to pick up a win over Minnesota-Crookston in the season finale on May 4.

BEFORE UMD: A 2012 graduate of Park High School … started two years for coach Kerry Ligtenberg and the Wolfpack … received an All-Conference honorable mention in his junior and senior seasons … played two years as a quarterback for the Wolfpack and received an All-Conference honorable mention.
 
PERSONAL: Born Kyle John Fritz on July 3, 1994 in Cottage Grove, Minnesota … son of Dan and Kris Fritz … has one younger brother, Zach.
