AS A BULLDOG:  Is among the six battle-tested veterans the Bulldogs retain on the blue line from a year ago ... got his first taste of college hockey warfare last winter, partaking in roughly one third of UMD’s 41-game schedule ... dressed for both Northeast Regional playoff engagements in Worcester, Mass. and corralled his second assist of the year in a 5-2 victory over the University of Maine ... notched his other collegiate point thus far -- an assists -- at AMSOIL Arena versus Michigan Tech on Jan. 27 ... joined two other Bulldogs as 2011-12 Western Collegiate Hockey Associatiion Scholar-Athlete Award recipients ... also earned WCHA All-Academic Team honors last season ... was redshirted as a first-year freshman in 2010-11.

BEFORE UMD: Displayed his point man skills for two winters with a trio of United States Hockey League franchises (Tri-City in 2009-10 and both Omaha and Indiana the previous season) ... generated one goal and 12 assists in 49 overall engagements with the 2009-10 Storm ... bypassed some 14 regular season games with an injured shoulder that year ... opened the 2008-09 season with the Omaha Lancers before being traded to the Indiana Ice ... was credited with 10 regular season points (all assists) that winter ... is a 2008 graduate of Rosemount High School where he was a classmate of fellow 2010-11 UMD recruit and 2011-12 All-American wingerJ.T. Brown ... culminated a rewarding three-year prep playing career with a selection to the 2007-08 All-Lake Conference Team.
