BULLDOG CAREER:
2016-17 (Junior) Saw action in all 29 games for first time in his Bulldog career • made 12 starts with those starts coming in a span of 13 games and averaged 19.5 minutes a game • dropped a career-high 24 points against the University of Mary on Dec. 30 • notched double-figures on 13 occasions including a five-game streak in the month of January • had a career high four steals against Wisconsin-Superior on Jan. 3 • finished the year with 7.5 points and 2.8 rebounds per game • selected to the NSIC All-Academic Team.
2015-16 (Sophomore) Returned to in-game action for UMD after a redshirt season, averaging 9.7 minutes in 28 games including three starts • netted 18 points on the first weekend of the season, including matching his career high with 10 against East Central (Okla.) on Nov. 14 • also scored 10 points against Wisconsin-Superior on Jan. 6 • grabbed a career high of six points against Minot State on Jan. 22 and at Upper Iowa on Feb. 5 • averaged 3.4 points and 1.4 rebounds per game on the season • selected to NSIC All-Academic Team.
Wilson sat out of game action in 2014-15, receiving a redshirt as he trained with the team in his second go-around at UMD.
2013-14 (Freshman) Served as one of UMD’s top reserves with 22 appearances including one start for the Bulldogs • cracked double-digits scoring for the first time with a 10-point game at Upper Iowa on Feb. 14, earning his first career start the next night at Winona State • scored eight points in the regular season finale against Minnesota-Crookston while hauling in a season-high six boards • averaged 2.2 points per game while shooting 32.1 percent.
BEFORE UMD: Graduated from Zimmerman H.S. in 2013 • lettered three years for Coach Ben Kvidt’s Thunder • participated in the Minn. State All-Star game in his senior season • named Team MVP as a senior captain  • received all-conference honors twice while leading the team in scoring and rebounding in his junior and senior seasons, as well as blocks three seasons • owns the Zimmerman H.S. school record for rebounds • scored over 1,000 points in his prep career while placing second all-time in scoring for the Thunder • also an All-Section selection as a two-year starter.
PERSONAL: Born James Robert Wilson III in Zimmerman, Minnesota • son of Lisa and J.R. Wilson • oldest of seven siblings (Lydia, Isabella, Sophia, Gabriella, Luke, and Elijah) • participated in National Honor Society and DECA • received the Leadership Award his senior year  • interests include sports, video games, and the outdoors • will major in accounting at UMD.
