BULLDOG CAREER:
2017-18 (Freshman) Took the most of his limited playing time as a backup guard • compiled 48 points, 13 rebounds, 11 assists, three steals and a block • went 18-for-42 for a 42.9 shooting percentage • dropped a season high 11 points in the NSIC Tournament opening round win over Winona State • whipped up seven assists and his only block in the game versus U-Mary • knocked down 9 of his 11 free throws, good for a 81.8 clip.

BEFORE UMD: A 2017 graduate of Hayward High School Xavier • racked up over 1,500 points in his highly decorated high school career • averaged 28.1 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 3.9 assists while helping the Hurricanes to a 17-7 record in the 2016-17 season • named to the All-Heart O'North first team in his three consecutive seasons while being voted the conference player of the year his senior year • earned a spot on the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association Division 3 All-State team in 2016-17 • was a standout in football and baseball, garnering All-Heart O'North first team selections in each • on the football field, was selected as the conference defensive player of the year while taking a All-Heart O'North first team spot on offense, defense, and special teams.

PERSONAL: Born Xavier Cummings in Hayward, Wis. • son of Katy and Darren • is majoring in civil engineering at UMD.
