AS A BULLDOG: Certainly lived up to preseason expectations with a stellar rookie year ... finished as UMD’s second-leading freshman scorer with 23 points on five goals and 18 assists in 39 games ... was also a +11 on the year ... three of his five goals came on special teams (three power play and one shortie -- in the NCHC Frozen Faceoff semifinals against North Dakota) ... went a +4 (the highest single-game plus-minus rating by a Bulldog last winter) against Omaha on Dec. 9 -- a 6-2 triumph for the visitors ... missed UMD’s conquest of the Ledyard Classic title while helping Team USA capture a bronze medal at the 2018 International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championship ... took care of business in the classroom as well last year as evident by his being cited as a NCHC Distinguished Scholar-Athlete ... sported the No. 3 sweater in 2017-18.
