Biography

BULLDOG CAREER:
2018: Paced the Bulldogs in relief appearances with 12 with his other sophomore year outing coming in a start ... was one of two Bulldog pitchers (along with Marcus Frederickson) to close put the season with a sub-4.00 ERA (3.98) ...  had two of the team's six saves ... finished a UMD-best eight games ... recorded at least one strikeout in 10 of his 13 appearances and did not give up a home run the entire season ... retired five batters in three innings of work (a season high) on April 15 against Minot State, a season high ... joined seven other Bulldogs on the NSIC All-Academic Team
2017: After spending the 2016 season on the bench at the Bulldogs' manager, Vick took to the mound 15 times in his rookie season, including one start in his final appearance ... garnered half (5) of his strikeouts in his first 3.2 collegiate innings ... had a 3.45 ERA in 15.2 innings.
2016: Served as Bulldog baseball program's team manager.
BEFORE UMD: Is a  2015 graduate of Byron High School ... started each of the last three seasons for the Bears ... earned an All-Hiawatha Valley Conference honorable mention citation as a team captain during his senior year ... received the team award as top pitcher during his senior season .. earned two academic letters and served on National Honor Society at Byron High School.
PERSONAL: Born Evan Roger Vick in Roseville, Minn. ... is the son of Sue and Roger Vick ... has one older sister (Rachel) ... is majoring in statistics and actuarial science at UMD.
