AS A BULLDOG: 
2019: Was redshirted as a first-year freshman.
BEFORE UMD: Two-year starter (quarterback) at Prior Lake High School ... played under head coach Matt Gegenhiemer and was a football teammate of another incoming UMD freshman, Jacksye Jacox ... attained All-District designation while captaining the Lakers his senior year ... was voted the team's Most Valuable Offensive Player that season as well ...  lettered  in both basketball (forward) and track and field as a prep.
PERSONAL: Is the son of Joe and Susan O'Connor ... has two brothers  -- Ian (a junior sprinter/high jumper/decathlete with the UMD track and field team, and Ryan) ... is majoring in business at UMD.
