  • Marked a career high six passes broken up or defended.
  • Leveled 31 tackles with 21 solo efforts.
2023 (Redshirt Sophomore)
  • Appeared in ten games.
  • Added 32 tackles, 28 were solo.
  • Had 4.5 tackles for eight yards of loss and 1.5 sacks for three yards.
2022 (Redshirt Freshman)

  • Posted 13 tackles with 10 solo and three assisted.

BEFORE UMD: Lettered three years while starting two seasons at Bay Port High School in Wis. Helped the Pirates march all the way to the Wisconsin State Championship game in 2019. A dual-sport athlete, he also lettered for three years on the track team at Bay Port. He ran the 400m, 300m, and hurdles for the Pirates.

PERSONAL: Is the son of David Sylvester and Jennifer Mayer ... Has two siblings (Austin and Cohen) ... Plans on majoring in business while at UMD. Enjoys snowboarding, working on cars, and working out in his free time.
