BULLDOG CAREER:
2017 (Junior) Continued his success from his first season with the Bulldogs after transferring from University of North Carolina-Asheville after the 2015 season · started in more games (49) than any other player on the team while playing in 52 (tied with Drew Stewart for more most) · slashed .319 at the plate while collecting 12 RBI · had three hits in a game twice - going 3-4 against Bemidji State University on March 23, and the second coming on April 14 against Augustana when he went 3-3 with an RBI and a double. 

2016 (Sophomore) Transferred into UMD and immediately took over starting duties in center field and the lead-off spot in 42 games including 40 starts · started his Bulldog career with a 3-for-5 game, driving in a run at Pittsburg State on Feb. 19 · scored five runs and hit a triple in a doubleheader against Wayne State (Mich.) on March 11 · drove in three runs and crossed the plate three times while getting on-base four times at Sioux Falls on April 9 · drove in four runs and scored four times while lifting his first UMD home run against Augustana (S.D.) in the NSIC Tournament on May 14 · voted UMD's Top Newcomer (non-freshman) by teammates.

BEFORE UMD: Transferred from Purdue University after a redshirt season in 2014 to the University of North Carolina-Asheville but did not see game action in his second year of collegiate baseball in 2015 · a 2013 graduate of Carmel Catholic (Ill.) High School · started three seasons in the outfield for the Corasairs, batting over .400 through his career while finishing 56-of-57 in stolen base attempts · earned All-East Suburban Catholc Conference honors in 2013 and named the team's Offensive Player of the Year · also earned all-conference honors as a wrestler during his freshman season.
PERSONAL: Born Brett James Milazzo in Mount Prospect, Ill. · son of  Janet and Salvatore Milazzo · has one older sister, Savannah · also earned the title of Athletic Scholar while at Carmel Catholic and participated in National Honor Society · majoring in organizational management at UMD.
