AS A BULLDOG

2012: Came out of the bullpen to make five appearances as a sophomore, recording three innings pitched … picked up four hits at the plate (in 18 at bats) and drove in a run while scoring three times as a baserunner.

2011: Made six appearances out of the bullpen in his first collegiate season … worked 9.2 innings and wound up with a 1-1 record and a sparkling 1.86 ERA to go along with 11 strikeouts … allowed just one extra-base hit (a double) on the year … found plate appearances tough to come by, recording three hits and one RBI in 18 at bats.

BEFORE UMD

Earned three varsity letters at Rosemount High School and started two seasons ... served as a team captain and earned all-conference honors as a senior … named to the Lions All-Star Game and took down Academic All-State honors … garnered an all-state honorable mention selection and was twice named McDonald’s Athlete of the Week … put in two years with the Rosemount basketball program, starting as a senior … was a member of the National Honor Society.

PERSONAL

Son of William and Mary Couillard … has one sister (Amanda) and one brother (Nick) … hobbies include baseball and fishing.
