A native of northern Wisconsin, Frank Pufall joins the UMD coaching staff for the 2015 season.
Pufall spent the past three seasons as an assistant coach with NCAA III's Northland College in Ashland, Wisconsin where he served in the role of first base and bench coach as well as recruiting for the LumberJacks. Pufall also split his time as the head baseball coach at Washburn High School since 2010 while also serving as an instructional aide and substitute teacher at Washburn since 2009.
"We are excited to add Frank to our coaching staff and look forward to utilizing his coaching strengths to better Bulldog baseball," said Coach Rients.
Pufall received a bachelor of arts from Vanderbilt (Tenn.) University in 1999, but before that graduated from Ashland High School, where he also played on the baseball team as an All-Conference Infielder, participating in three Wisconsin state tournaments, including a pair of state championship games.
