2016 (Junior) Put together his best season, becoming a reliable arm out of the UMD bullpen in 18 appearances spanning 18 innings · struck out two in his season debut at Pittsburg State on Feb. 20 · started his season with six-straight scoreless appearances · picked up a save with 1.1 hitless innings, striking out two at Upper Iowa on April 26 · struck out four in 1.2 innings against Minot State on April 30 · earned a victory out of the bullpen with 1.2 hitless innings, striking out three against U-Mary on May 6 · pitched 0.2 hitless innings against Emporia State and Southwestern Oklahoma State in the NCAA Tournament on May 19-20 · NSIC All-Academic Team
2015 (Sophomore) Took the hill in seven relief appearances spanning 5.2 innings for the Bulldogs · struck out one in a hitless inning in his season debut against Northwood (Mich.) on Mar. 13 · struck out two in a scoreless appearance against Bemidji State on Apr. 17 · struck out one in a scoreless appearance against Augustana (S.D.) in the NSIC/US Bank Tournament on May 8 · selected to the NSIC All-Academic Team.
2014 (Freshman) Took to the bump on nine occassions, including six scoreless outings · picked up his first collegiate win by getting just one out against Upper Iowa on Apr. 22 · struck out three in 3.0 innings of his collegiate debut against Saint Michael's (Vt.) College on Mar. 16.

BEFORE UMD: A 2013 graduate of Pine Island High School · started three seasons for coach Craig Anderson and the Panthers · received All-Hiawatha Valley League honors in his junior season · named All-Subsection selection in his junior season · also played three years of basketball as a guard and was named All-HVL selection his senior year.
PERSONAL: Born Colton Robert Sinning in Duluth, Minn. · son of Robert and Kristen Sinning, both graduates of UMD · uncle played baseball at NSIC rival Winona State · one of two siblings (Austin) · member of National Honor Society and DECA · interests include computers, video editing, and website design · majoring in management information systems at UMD.
