Biography

AS A BULLDOG: 
2021: Started in all 38 of the games he played for the Bulldogs during his senior campaign. Led the team in batting average (.359), hits (52), doubles (15), triples (3), total bases (76), slugging percentage (.524), walks (21), on-base percentage (.443). George also recorded 22 RBI's, came around to score 28 times, and set career highs in putouts (101), and outfield assists (4). Recorded a stellar .991 fielding percentage. Named NSIC Baseball Player of the week, for the week of May 10th. Named to the All-NSIC Second Team and NSIC All-Defensive team for the 2021 Baseball season. Voted team MVP by his teammates. 

2020: Started in all eight games the Bulldogs played in the shortened 2020 season. Recorded a batting average of .333, tallied seven hits, two runs batted in, five walks and recorded a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage. 

2019: Made 39 starts for the Bulldogs while appearing in 43 games over the season ... lead the team in batting average (.388), hits (59), walks (22), on-base percentage (.469) and stolen bases (19) ...  was second on the team in runs scored (35) ... was named the team's most valuable player ... finished the season with a .970 fielding percentage ... went 19-23 in stolen bases (good for an .826 stolen base percentage) ... was named to the NSIC second team All-Conference team.
2018: Certainly made an immediate impact with the Bulldog outfield corps and wound up see field time in 43 of 45 games ... started 42 outings, which tied for top team honors with Tyler Midas ... led the Bulldogs in stolen bases (he was 10-of-13 in that deparment) ... also shared the top spot with Midas and  Brett Milazzo for runs scored (27) and with Milazzo for RBIs (37) ...  finished second among Bulldogs in hits (45), total bases (49) and at bats (147) ... batted .333 against left handers, the second highest figure on the club and was able to advance runners a team-leading 59.4 percent of the time ... his .306 batting average took a backseat only to Midas (.325) among UMD full- or part-time starters ... voted UMD's Rookie of the Year.

BEFORE UMD: Is a 2017 graduate of New Life Academy ... played and started four years for head coach Dave Darr and the Eagles ... was a member of one Minnesota State High School Class A State champion (2015) and three Minnesota Christian Athletic Association title winners (2015-17)  ... served as the Eagles team captain as a junior and senior ... laned  All-Minnesota Christian Athletic Association Conference honors four years in a row and was bestowed with an All-Section  citation in both 2014 and 2015 ... named All-State and All-State Academic in 2017 ... also played soccer (midfielder) for three years and basketball (point guard) for one season as a prep.
PERSONAL: Born Henry James George ... is the son of Todd and Jennifer George ... has three siblings (Jackson, Hannah and Samuel) ... is majoring in business at UMD.
