BULLDOG CAREER

As a Freshman [2011] - Combined with fellow rookie Maureen Stormont to hold down the top two spots on the UMD scoring chart • started every game and finished the season with five goals and five assists for 15 points • tied for second among league rookies in scoring with Kali Loescher of Upper Iowa • attempted 47 shots on the year, the second-highest total of any Bulldog • earned first collegiate point with an assist in a season-opening draw with Northern Michigan Sept. 1 • was not held off the score sheet more than three consecutive outings, and was kept pointless on consecutive occasions just twice all year • yielded five points (one goal, three assists) over a four-game scoring streak Sept. 25 - Oct. 8 • Buried the game-winner at Bemidji State Oct. as UMD downed the Beavers 4-1.

BEFORE UMD

Is a 2011 graduate of Bloomington Jefferson High School • co-captained the Jaguars her senior year • was All-Conference in the South Suburban Conference that same year • in 2010, the four-year starter and letterwinner led Bloomington Jefferson in assists • helped the Jaguars reach the section final game her senior year • received the State Academic Gold Award for three years (2007,2008 and 2009) • was a Student Council representative as a junior and a senior.  

PERSONAL: Born Jennifer Erin Smith on June 21, 1993 in Minneapolis, Minn. • daughter of Bill and Becky Smith • has two older twin sisters (Amy and Allison)
