2015 (Freshman) Appeared in 15 games for UMD, starting a pair at second base · picked up his first career hit and RBI in his collegiate debut against Northwood (Mich.) on Mar. 14 · drove in a run and scored against Sioux Falls on Mar. 21 · drew a walk and scored a run against Upper Iowa on Apr. 23.

BEFORE UMD A 2014 graduate of Eau Claire Memorial High School · started three years as a second baseman and pitcher for coach Dave Sparger and the Old Abes · helped lead Memorial to an All-Big Rivers Conference Championship in 2012 · also started as a two-way player in football and played intramural basketball.

PERSONAL Born Nicholas Ryan Pedersen on Oct. 16, 1995 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin · son of Trisha and Bill Pedersen · has one sister, Emma · a two-year member of Link Crew and DECA Club at Eau Claire Memorial · enjoys fishing and watching football when off the diamond · undecided on a major at UMD.
