2022: Appeared in 41 games for the Bulldogs, starting 34 of them. Tallied 25 hits on the season, including 3 home runs, 1 triple and 2 doubles. He had a .234 batting average, .355 slugging percentage, and a .331 on base percentage. He drove in 15 runs, while scoring 15 runs of his own. Tallied a .919 fielding percentage. 

2021: Appeared in 18 games for the Bulldogs and started 14 games. Came around to score 11 times on the year, collected 15 hits, including six extra base hits. Drove in five runs, woked four walks. Had a batting average of .366, a slugging percentage of .585 and a on-base percentage of .458. Recorded one stolen base, 14 putouts, one outfield assist and a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage. 

BEFORE UMD: Is a 2019 graduate of Prior Lake High School ... started two years for the Lakers and served as a team captain ...  played on the first Prior Lake High School baseball team to ever win the South Suburban Conference Championship ... also lettered in one year of football as a wide receiver for the Lakers.
PERSONAL: Born Samuel Addison Tanner in Akron, Ohio ... is the son of Kevin and Julie Tanner ... has an older sister (Lucy) and an identical twin brother (Russ) who also plays baseball for UMD ... is undecided on a major at UMD.
