BULLDOG CAREER:
2018: Managed playing time in just six games (with the last coming on April 5) due to injury ... went  6-for-14 at the plate (.556) with a pair of doubles ... ended the year sporting a .306 career batting average ... qualified for the NSIC All-Academic Team
2017: Made 47 starts and 50 appearances as a second-year Bulldog  ... racked up 43 hits and a .272 batting average ... turned in a three-hit afternoon on two separate occasions (vs. Pittsburg State on Feb. 19, and Upper Iowa on March 20) ... his 23 RBIs tied for fourth among Bulldogs ... was hit by pitch eight times (tied for the most on the team along with Grant Farley) and paced UMD in putouts with 343 ... was a NSIC All-Academic Team honoree.
2016: Cracked the lineup in 52 games, including 48 starts at designated hitter ... began his season as one of the hottest hitters in the country, leading the NCAA II ranks in batting average as late as March 28 ... went 3-for-3 in his first start at DH at Pittsburg State on Feb. 20 ... knocked out his first collegiate home run against Ohio Dominican on March 8 ... drove in three runs and hit a home run against Concordia-St. Paul on April 17 ... hit two home runs and drove in three against U-Mary on May 6 ... was voted UMD's Rookie of the Year.
BEFORE UMD: Is a  2015 graduate of Coon Rapids High School ... started two seasons for coach Jerry Coe and the Cardinals ... received All-Northwest Suburban Conference acclaim twice (first team as a senior and honorable mention one year earlier) ... voted the team's 2013 Rookie of the Year and won the Coach's Award in 2014 ... also served as an assistant captain for the Coon Rapids hockey team, earning a pair of letters ... was president of the National Honor Society while attending Coon Rapids High School.
PERSONAL: Born Tyler James Wojciechowski (whoa-jik-how-skee) in Marshall, Minn. ... is the son of Colleen and Kevin Wojciechowski ... his older brother, Alex, played first base for the Bulldogs from 2013-16 and was cited as the NCAA II National Player of the Year by six different organizations ... is majoring in statistics and actuarial science at UMD.
