Loren Endsley joined the UMD football staff prior to the 2022 season as the Run Game Coordinator and Offensive Line Coach.

During the 2023 season, Endsley coached his fourth AFCA All-American in Center Treyvon Cahalan, who went on to sign with the New Orleans Saints. The Bulldogs claimed the NSIC rushing title in 2023 with a total of 2,680 rushing yards which put them in the top 10 nationally, along with top 5 in rushing yards per carry at 6.3. Along with leading the NSIC in rushing yards, the Bulldogs also led the NSIC in points per game at 37.73. The Bulldogs ranked in the top 15 nationally in sacks allowed (11 Total), 3rd down percentage, and red zone scores.

In his first season at UMD, Endsley coached offensive tackle Brent Laing who was named an AFCA First Team All-American along with coaching four other All-NSIC selections. Laing went on to sign with the New York Jets, and is currently on the roster of the Los Angeles Chargers. During Endsley’s first season with the Bulldogs, UMD led all NCAA Division II in time of possession (36 minutes per game). The Bulldog offense also finished in the top 25 nationally in passing efficiency (13th), rushing offense (15th), rushing yards per carry (6.3 YPC), 3rd down possession (16th) and first downs gained per game (21st).

Prior to joining the UMD staff, Endsley spent the 2021 season at NCAA Division I Ohio University, where he was an assistant offensive line coach. In 2020, Endsley was a quality control coach at University of South Dakota (FCS).

From 2018-19, Endsley was the offensive coordinator and recruiting coordinator at NAIA’s Dakota Wesleyan University. There he coached All-American Offensive Lineman Trevor Wietzema and his offense set program records for total yards in a game (822 yards, third-most in NAIA history), passing yards in a game (510) and first downs (45).

Previously, Endsley coached All-American Offensive Lineman Mick Wilson at NAIA’s Eastern Oregon University, and was the head coach at Lake Roosevelt High School, leading the program to two state playoff appearances.

Endsley played on the offensive line at Idaho State University and Eastern Oregon University where he earned USA Football All-American recognition. He earned degrees in history & exercise science at Eastern Oregon in 2013 and then received his Master’s degree in Education in 2014.

Endsley is married to his wife Cassie and has two young boys, Cooper and Payton.
