2019: Was redshirted as a first-year freshman.
BEFORE UMD: Three-year starter (defensive line, offensive line and long snapper) at Waukesha South High School ... played under head coach AJ Raebel ... handled the team captaincy responsibilities as a senior ... secured All-Class 8 Conference second team honors following his farewell season with the Blackshirts ... was chosen the team's Defensive of Player of the Year as well in 2018 ... has also competed in three other sports -- track and field (shot put), wrestling (heavyweight) and basketball (center) -- while at Waukesha South High School.
PERSONAL: Is the son of Tom and Mary Garrity ... has one older sibling (T.J.) ... is an undeclared major at UMD.
