BEFORE UMD: Played for Duluth Marshall High School. He is listed as the No. 13 ranked prospect in the Minnesota 2025 class by Prep Hoops Minnesota. Brooks averaged 32.1 points, 16.6 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game as a junior, helping lead his team to a 15-13 record. Johnson also surpassed the 2,000 career points mark during his junior season. Johnson played travel AAU basketball with both the MN Select and Starks Academy clubs during his prep career.
